A LIFE-SIZE Dalek has been given a home after the Echo appealed to find its missing owner.

Doctor Who enthusiast John Hadlow took pity on the abandoned cyborg and offered it a space at his shop in Sidwell Street, Exeter.

As previously reported in the Echo, children at West Exe Learning Centre, in St Thomas, found the alien which has been living in a cupboard ever since.

It is now standing proudly next to another Dalek in Mr Hadlow's film and TV memorabilia store and is shortly expected to be given to charity.

Mr Hadlow said: "I felt so sorry for him being stuck in a school cupboard so I've brought him to the shop and he is stood next to the other Dalek.

"He is also going to have a bit of a refurb and be tidied up.

"No one has come forward to claim him since the appeal in the Echo so we can only assume he was dumped."
