CURIOUS Creatures is a fun stage show coming to Exeter Northcott Theatre to celebrate the amazing world of animals.
Squashbox Theatre will be performing at the venue on Saturday, October 5, at 2pm, and will be joined by big animals, little ones, scaly ones, furry ones, friendly ones and scary ones. THE Lions Brass4Youth band will be performing at Seaton Town Hall on Saturday, October 5, at 7.30pm.
The group, which come from Clevedon in North Somerset, is made up of young musicians aged between 10 and 21 years of age. Tickets cost £5 and is in aid of Lions charitable activities. Call 01297 625699.
CELEBRATING 60 years of Scouting is the 6th Exeter St Thomas Scout Group.
Formerly the 6th Exeter (John Stocker) Scout Group, the anniversary celebrations will take place on Saturday, October 5, at their Scout hut in Wellington Road, Exeter. An open invitation is being offered to all Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and leaders, past and present, to come and join the group around the campfire from 10am to 1pm.
APPLE day is coming to Bovey Tracey's National Trust Property Parke.
Enjoy a fun-filled day on Sunday, October 5, from 11am to 3pm, where you can press apples, taste apples, and drink apple juice while listening to the South Devon Singers.
Other activities include traditional orchard games and follow the orchard trail.
UNLIKE last year when the pickings were slim, the orchards at the Killerton estate are full to bursting this autumn, and helpers are needed for its Big Pick Up apple harvest. During the weekends of October 5, and 6, and the following weekend, October 12 and 13, families are invited to head into the orchard to help collect apples to be pressed for Killerton's award-winning cider.
The Big Pick Up is a free family activity running from 11am to 4pm, with mini wheelbarrows for the children and free cider tasters in the orchard for the adults.
