A FORMER Exeter school girl loved her classroom so much she bought her desk and chair.
And now she plans to stage a reunion for fellow former pupils in her year at Bishop Blackall School.
Old girl Anne Jerman (nee Borwell) of Crediton, is organising a school reunion for everyone who was in the year of pupils that started at the school in September 1968 and left in June 1973.
The reunion will take place on Saturday, September 28, between 2pm and 6pm in the Boniface Centre, Deep Lane, Crediton.
Anne said she has contacted as many former pupils as possible about the reunion.
She said: "I have been able to make direct contact with about 50 former pupils but would love to get the message to others.
"In my last year at school all the teachers' high desk and chairs were replaced and I bought the desk and chair from my classroom for £3 from Devon County Council.
"I still have the desk and chair and the receipt.
"I got everyone in my class to sign the inside of the desk."
She also has plenty of other memorabilia to help create the late sixties and earlier seventies.
Refreshments will be available and there will be a display of memorabilia.
Teachers at the school during this period are also invited.
Anyone interested in attending should contact Anne on 01363 772865.
