SWH Training, part of South West Highways Ltd, is set to welcome its 100th apprentice, having recently been appointed one of only 20 CITB National Skills Academies for Construction in the UK.
The company provides a wide range of construction training and engineering apprenticeship courses, including a Level 2 diploma in highways maintenance – excavations operations.
Ben Pyle, Exeter-based SWH's managing director, said: "Achieving National Skills Academy status is a great accolade and recognises the high standard of our training. To reach the landmark of 100 apprentices is testament to this.
"We believe investing in skills and training makes success more likely, whether for a large business, sole trader, or a young person taking the first steps into this exciting industry. We're working together to improve skills provision for the civil engineering sector."
