Entrepreneurial food producers are being sought to shout about their success by entering Taste of the West's latest awards.
The membership organisation is seeking nominations for the prestigious Carol Trewin South West Producer of the Year award, named in honour of the late Western Morning News journalist, Carol Trewin.
Carol was a passionate supporter of local food and drink, and the award recognises the innovation, market development and commitment to customer service that she sought to celebrate.
John Sheaves, chief executive of Taste of the West, said: "We have had some stunning winners of this prestigious award in previous years, not least in 2012 when Exmouth Mussels showed everybody how to run a small but thriving business in a tough market place and still grow. I am really excited to see who wins this year's award. It is the ultimate award bringing together the many facets that make a great business."
Previous winners also include: Styles Farmhouse Ice Cream; the Otter Brewery and Dartmoor Farmers.
There are other award categories including: hospitality and retail; product awards and a food in school award.
Entry forms can now be downloaded from www. tasteofthewest.co.uk. Completed entry forms should be sent to Taste of the West, Country House Estate, London Road, Whimple, Devon EX5 2NL by August 31 2013.
