I AM writing in support of Victor Dartnall, who has the misfortune to have an infection of equine herpes in his yard.
This virus is a very common infective agent which occurs in the horse population worldwide. It is primarily a respiratory virus similar to a 'cold' virus in people with the symptoms of a temperature, nasal discharge and perhaps coughing.
I am sure readers will wish Victor and his string well and look forward to a speedy return to the winner's enclosure.
