A CELEBRATION of the rich variety of acoustic music – from homegrown talent to bands from across the world – takes place in Exeter this weekend.
The Acoustica Festival is spearheaded by the Phoenix arts centre, which opens its doors to fabulous original music loosely spanning the genres of alt-folk and Americana.
There are more than 60 acts performing across seven stages at the Phoenix, with gigs also at Bikeshed Theatre, The Old Firehouse, The Oddfellows and Barnfield Theatre, making it a city-wide celebration of music.
This year's lineup includes: Fenech Soler, Paper Aeroplanes, Zervas & Pepper, Rev hammer, Matthew & Me, Bert Miller & the Animal Folk, Alice Jemima, Woodford Green, Sound of the Sirens, The Zazou Cowboys, Carnivala!, Exeter singer/songwriter Alex Gregory and many more.
