A TEA cosy fundraiser in Exeter has helped raise more than £28,000 for charity. White Stuff, the fashion and lifestyle retailer in Gandy Street, took part in the company's Wear a Tea Cosy on Your Head Day last month.
Customers were asked to support the event by buying a £3 stripy tea cosy and by visiting the shop on the day where a tea party was held. Ten per cent of all sales on the day went to the White Stuff Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
Jeremy Seigal, White Stuff CEO, said the day had been a great success. "We are thrilled to have raised such a large amount of money for our local charities. We couldn't have done it without the generosity of our customers and we are extremely thankful to them for their continued support."
