Ever wondered if all those dramatic rows, awkward silences and bitchy stares are nothing more than mere fiction?

Made In Chelsea cast member Tina Stinnes, who appeared on the show last season as one of Spencer Matthew’s many love interests, has lifted the lid on how ‘real’ the reality show actually is.

In an interview with the Daily Star Online, the 19-year-old condemned the popular series as being completely fake. Tina claimed that scenes when cast members are shown having evening meals are actually filmed at 7am, and rows are acted out over and over again until the director is happy with a take.

Although the show is supposedly unscripted, Tina also claimed that the production team heavily influence cast members to say certain things, and make them repeat lines until the camera crew are happy that they have captured the cast at their best.

This isn’t the first time Made in Chelsea has faced fakery accusations. Former cast member Millie Mackintosh explained that one of the reasons she left Made In Chelsea was because she was unhappy when show bosses told her to not spend time with her now husband Professor Green, until a camera crew were present.

Kimberley Garner has also made claims that the show is staged. She confessed that the scenes were all fabricated and created for the audience’s entertainment, rather than to represent real-life scenarios.

So does this news come as a great shock? Not really, but it does raise the question – if it’s entertaining, do we even care?

Made In Chelsea returns next month with a spin-off series filmed in New York.
