FORMER Plymouth Argyle striker Tash Knapman came back to haunt her old club with two goals as Exeter City Ladies drew 3-3 with their rivals.

With City unbeaten since defeating Argyle for the first time in the club's history earlier this season, and Argyle just one place above them in the table, the Grecians' motivation was high, but it was the visitors who took a deserved lead on 20 minutes from a Rebecca Rose penalty.

City upped the tempo and Knapman levelled, only for Rose to score again on the stroke of half-time. A rallying team-talk saw City come out the more determined, and it was no surprise when they pulled level.

After some good passing between Kirsty Caunter and Lola Garcia-Sanchez, Knapman slotted home to make it 2-2.

With Argyle beginning to tire, City pressed for the win and went 3-2 up when Sanchez smashed home from 25 yards with 10 minutes remaining.

City looked to have it wrapped up, only for Emily Moseley to smash home from the edge of the box with two minutes erminaing to level the scores and round off a fantastic match.

In the Westward Developments Devon Women's Football League, Ashmoor needed extra time to beat Exeter & Tedburn Rangers 2-0.

In the Premier Division, Alphington continue to set the pace after a 4-1 win at Feniton, with Laura Burwood and Jodie Millett scoring doubles. Steff Matthews replied.

AFC Plympton hammered University of Exeter 6-0, while Exmouth Amateurs' poor run continued with a 3-1 home defeat to Heavitree SC.

Leah Rawlings scored for the hosts, with Kirsty Brown (2) and Gabby Stoneman responding.

In the division one basement battle, Seaton Town lost 1-0 to Barnstaple, who notched their first league win of the season.
