Council failed flood victims

ON Wednesday, November 21, Brook Road, Cullompton, was flooded and several properties were effected.

Part of the cause was that the road drains have not been cleaned on a regular basis.

So the residents had to lift the heavy drain covers to dig out the accumulated muck to let the flood water run off.

Should council tax payers be expected to do this to protect their homes?

But it was good to see people helping each other, Well done the residents of Brook Road.
