Cream teas all round at Exeter hospital

No one complains about hospital food at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital - not when there are cream teas on the menu.

This week every patient in the hospital was treated to the Devon delight

The scone, cream and jam treat is to try to get the point across that those who are ill need more calories.

The initiative by the hospital is part of national Nutrition and Hydration week.

Scones were made for 600 patients - and around 10kilos of clotted cream, and five kilos of strawberry jam were happily spread.
