MARTIN and bolt, general builders in Cheriton Fitzpaine, formed a partnership 25 years ago, and to celebrate the anniversary Tony Martin and Graham Bolt held a joint party at Tony and his wife Margaret's home, the Old Thatched School House, for many of their customers, which was attended by over 30 people.
THE Mouse Racing evening held by Cheriton Fitzpaine Twinning Association was a huge success, with over 100 members and visitors attending. The mouse race track was on a vertical board similar to a bookcase with a glass front, and obstacles for the mice to jump! Some mice almost at the finish, turned back to the start. There was also a Tote, and refreshments. Money raised is for Childrens Hospice South West and twinning funds.
A COFFEE morning at Lapford has raised £160 for the Historic Devon Churches Trust. On Sunday, October 6, they are holding their harvest service at 5pm, followed by a bring and share supper in the Victory Hall. The Friends of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, are inviting everyone to visit the church and enjoy refreshments and stalls from 10am until noon on Saturday, October 5.
SUE Brient-Evans has sent the Devon Air Ambulance Trust £100, and £100 to the Children's Hospice South West. the money is proceeds from the Lapford Revel.
THE Crediton Digital Photography Club members had a Field Trip to Becky Falls on Dartmoor, where there was ideal lighting conditions for photography. They are now in the process of selecting final images for their 2014 Calendar, and preparing for a landscape photography workshop. New members are always welcome.
