Long queues are building on the A38 in Devon after a dramatic crash involving a cattle trailer and fuel tanker.
One lane is blocked on the A38 westbound in Heathfield, after Drumbridges, because of the collision near the turning for Trago Mills.
Police say it is believed the trailer began wobbling and collided with the rear of the petrol tanker, leaving it impaled and pointing in the air on the back of the tanker.
The trailer was carrying two pigs which police say will be put down.
The two occupants of the van, a man and a woman, were shaken but not injured.
Fire crews were called to the scene but were stood down once the petrol tanker was confirmed safe.
Police are now awaiting a crane which will be needed to detach the trailer from the tanker.
Lane two of the A38 is flowing freely, say police.
