Devon sponge fans will be cheering on teacher Glenn Cosby who has a starring role in tomorrow’s Great British Bake-off show on BBC2
Glenn, 37, teaches English and is a popular Head of Sixth form at a school in Teignmouth and he’s hoping the judges don’t write “must try harder” in his baking report card.
Glenn has been baking since he was a teenager and admits he always leaves things to the last minute.
He said: “ Above all things I love to bake cakes and to see people enjoying them.

For the first time ever, the tent welcomes a baker’s dozen to do baking battle.
In the new series Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins coax competitorsthrough their baking trials, all the while under the scrutiny of the judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.
The judges have set the Signature Challenges as true home baker staples, so that they can immediately see the bakers’ personalities and their range of skills and ideas, setting them apart from each other.
The first challenge is a sandwich cake.
