A 20 year old woman from Bromley has been charged with being almost three times over the drink drive limit after her car was in collision with a police vehicle.

The incident happened at around 2.30am on Sunday 2 December when Maya Gregory was driving a Vauxhall Corsa with a frozen windscreen the wrong way in Quay Road, Teignmouth. She collided head on with the police car.

She got out of the vehicle and was spoken to by officers who requested a breath test. This she failed at the roadside and a second sample at the police station gave a reading of 101 Ugs. The legal limit is 35.

She was detained before being charged and bailed to appear before South and west Devon MC on 18 December 2012.

No one was injured as a result of the collision.
