Work is progressing on the Christmas market that is set to open at Exeter Cathedral Green later this week.
Over the weekend wooden huts were being erected at the site in preparation for the first influx of visitors on Friday.
It is a first for the Cathedral and will bring together produce and gifts from the South West and the Continent with organisers saying it will make Exeter the place to shop this Christmas.
The Christmas market will run for just over three weeks, from Friday, November 23 until Sunday, December 16. It will be open from 10am until 8pm on Monday to Wednesday, from 10am until 9pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 11am until 5pm on a Sunday and will be run by Market Place Europe Limited.
The opening of the market will come a day after the big Christmas lights switch on event in the city.
