Former Exeter City player Elliott Frear has been called up to the England C squad for two away matches in the next seven days.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who left the Grecians last summer, is in the England squad for their International Challenge Trophy Group A match with Slovakia on Saturday and their friendly against Hungary, in Budapest, four days later.
Frear currently plays for Conference side Salisbury City. He featured for the Whites 45 times last season, scoring six goals and helping them to a 12th-place finish in the league
Forest Green Rovers’ James Norwood, also a former Exeter City player, is also in the squad.
The striker, who left St James’s Park in June 2011, has netted 19 goals from 45 games for the Gloucestershire side this season.
