Exeter City will be host neighbours Torquay United in a pre-season friendly fixture on Saturday, August 2.

The game looks set to be the Grecians’ final pre-season fixture – the curtain will be raised on the 2014/15 campaign a week later, on Saturday, August 9.

Torquay, who were relegated to the Conference as the Football League’s bottom club last season, also visited two years ago for a friendly ahead of the 2012/13 campaign. On that occasion, the supporters in attendance were treated to a 3-3 draw.

It is the third friendly that has been announced for St James's Park this pre-season, with Reading visiting on Tuesday, July 15, and Swansea City on Tuesday, July 29. Information about admission prices for the Reading match, which will kick-off at 3pm, will follow soon.
