DOMINIC Morris, who is currently working with the NATO Rapid Reaction Corps, has been selected to represent the Conservative Party in Exeter at the next general election.

Dominic, who has previously worked for the Prince’s Trust helping underprivileged children and for the British Government in Sierra Leone, Pakistan and Afghanistan’s Helmand Province, was selected for Exeter in an open primary at the weekend.

Local people - who had registered to vote - selected Dominic with a majority in the first ballot.

He is currently working to provide political services to the British Government in Syria, but he will be returning to the UK soon to begin campaigning in the city.

He said: “I am delighted to have been selected to stand for this beautiful part of the world in the next election.

“I have worked all over the globe in public service, in some challenging roles. I know exactly how to get things done and how to help improve the lives of the people of Exeter.

“Despite senior positions in public service I remain young enough to inject fresh thought and enthusiasm into the city.”
