Wednesday, January 29, 5.45pm, Innovation Centre, Exeter University: The next meeting of the Devon International Trade Forum, with speakers including Tony Cutmore, managing director of Cemtek Ltd, and Paul Stevenson, of marketing agency Wall To Wall Sunshine. Wednesday, January 29, 7pm, Thistle Rougemont Hotel, Exeter: The Exeter Business Games 2014 will officially be launched with a fun and motivational event, including an opportunity to meet the Games’ ambassador Jo Pavey, plus an overview of the events planned for May and June, including tenpin bowling, dodgeball and a pub quiz. Thursday, January 30, 8.30am – 10.30am, Flybe Training Academy, Exeter Airport: Exeter Initiative for Science & Technology (ExIST) business presentations & networking event, featuring speakers from South West Water, the Environment Agency and the University of Exeter.

Thursday, February 13, 5.30pm – 7.30pm, Exeter College’s Business Centre, Victoria House: Celebrity chef Michael Caines will be the guest speaker at the launch of the Exeter Junior Chamber, which will bring together like-minded businesspeople between the ages of 20 and 35, giving them a voice on important issues and developing their networking skills. By building links with educational bodies and the Exeter College Young Chamber, the Junior Chamber will also work on projects with students. Wednesday, February 26, 8am – 2pm, Exeter Racecourse: Michael Portillo will be the keynote speaker at chartered accountants Francis Clark’s second Finance in the South West seminar. The event will bring together the people representing funding and support streams potentially available to SMEs, including presentations and participation from major providers of business funding and support, case studies and networking opportunities.
