Exeter man arrested after motorbike stolen in ‘smash and grab’ raid in Marsh Barton

A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a ‘smash and grab’ raid at an Exeter motorcycle shop.

Police were at the scene of Bridge Motorcycles in Marsh Barton at 2:30am this morning.

It is believed a window was smashed at the front of the shop before the offender made off with a £2,000 Triumph motorbike.

The police dog unit was on the scene and discovered the motorbike with minor damage nearby, and a police

dog unit arrested a man found hiding in bushes in the area.

A 27-year-old Exeter man was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
