FREE drop-in craft demonstrations can be enjoyed at the Devon Guild during December.

The local craft centre and gallery at Riverside Mill in Bovey Tracey, is hosting a poetry tile demonstration on Saturday, December 21 from 10am to 4pm.

There will also be an embroidery demonstration on Saturday, December 28 from 10am to 4pm.

The aim is to inspire visitors to learn more about different crafts and even take up a craft themselves.

The Guild’s current annual Christmas Exhibition, Make, featuring handmade crafts from the UK, is running until January 5.

CELEBRATING the spirit of adventure and enterprise of South West people is art exhibition Westcountry to World’s End: the South West in the Tudor Age.

It is on view at Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum and features loans from the Bodleian Library, British Library, British Museum, National Portrait Gallery.

The exhibition is running until December 25.

WINTER Solstice is the latest exhibition to go on show at the East Devon Art Academy in Sidmouth.

It showcases some new artists alongside those who are regular exhibiting artists.

Among the newcomers is Susan Paradise and Sandy MacQueen, who will be displaying works along with Sandy MacFadyen, Catherine Osbond, Neil Hampson, Victoria Goodman and George Hutchinson.

The exhibition at the academy in Old Fore Street is on view until Sunday, January 5.
