Exmouth's Evo to take on best

EXMOUTH darts player Mike 'Evo' Evens will compete against some of the biggest names in professional darts when they head to the area this summer.

Exmouth Pavilion will host inVasion – an eight-man knock-out competition – on Friday, August 31.

It will be headlined by the current PDC world champion Adrian 'Jackpot' Lewis and the 2012 BDO world championship runner-up, 'The Silverback' Tony O'Shea.

The list of competitors also inclues three other former world champions, including five-time world champion Eric Bristow.

Evens, who has been drawn against Adrian Lewis in the first round, said he was looking forward to the event, but he was certainly not going just to make up the numbers.

"I cannot wait to get up on the big stage in front of all my friends and play the current World Champion," Evens explained.

"It's an unbelievable opportunity for me and I fully intend to beat him."
