OFFICIALS from the Wheelchair Football Association are running a festival in Exeter this month in a bid to attract new players to the sport.
They are staging the event at Riverside Leisure Centre from 10am until 3pm on September 29.
Anyone over 10 with a physical disability can play the sport, which is designed for people who use electric or manual wheelchairs and caters for a range of impairments. People of all ages and both genders can take part together.
The Devon FA-supported festival is free and all specialist equipment and coaching will be provided on the day.
As spaces are limited, email Adam McEvoy at firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
Introductory sessions for a powerchair football team have already taken place in Exeter, so there will be opportunities for participants to continue playing should they wish.
