PICKLING, potting and preserving will be celebrated at the next Powderham Food Festival.
The popular event will take place on Saturday, October 5, from 10.30am to 5pm, in the spectacular location of Powderham Castle.
There will be more than 100 producers exhibiting in the castle and grounds, plus demonstrations, talks and tastings by artisan makers, small producers, growers and experts.
BBC TV chefs The Incredible Spice Men (Cyrus Todiwala and Tony Singh) will also be giving demonstrations and talks and Toby Buckland, nurseryman and television broadcaster, will host a panel of experts for a foodie gardening question-time session.

A special evening of dining is being held at the River Cottage Canteen on Friday, September 27. Veg 'n' Hedge will be hosted by River Cottage HQ head gardener Craig Rudman, and is a celebration of the seasonal vegetables and hedgerow delights.
From 7pm, Craig will be giving hints and tips on growing and foraging for the very best the season has to offer. River Cottage Canteen head chef Sam Rom and his team will be serving up a three-course vegetarian meal, with welcome drink and coffee, for £28pp.
