Trees and creeping plants are to be used to hide a big blank wall on a new £6.5m sports hall at Exeter College’s Queen Street campus.

The city’s council’s planning committee gave the all clear for the new development which will also include new classes and parking.

The building backs on to the main railway line between St David’s to Waterloo and members were concerned it could become a target for graffiti vandals as well as an eyesore for those living on the other side of the tracks in Richmond Court.
