EYE-CATCHING window displays created by local artists are being hosted by independent retailer Insideout.

As part of an on-going project, the shop in Princesshay is inviting artists to decorate its main window with an illustration or design that reflects the artist's work and passion for their craft.

Susie Tyler (pictured) is the latest local artist to display her talent in Exeter. Born and raised in Devon, Susie is a self-taught artist with a passion for literature and children's picture books.

Susie said: "I have always loved to draw and have a huge appreciation of children's picture books. As well as drawing pictures of people and animals, I particularly enjoy illustrating my own books and my dream is to write and illustrate books for children one day."

The theme for the window has been inspired by Susie's two naughty kittens. Climbing curtains and knocking over lampshades became a regular occurrence in the Tyler household and the adorable creatures have featured in many of her works.

Created using simple lines and classic colours, the playful window display is a must-see. Insideout currently stocks a range of Susie's work.
