Huge win seals title for Willand

Willand Rovers 11 Tone 0

Willand Rovers were crowned champions of the Taunton & District Youth League after thumping bottom side Tone.

Unbeaten Rovers – managed by former first team boss Clive Jones – have scored 72 goals and conceded just six, with keeper Harrison Burton only letting in two goals in the last six games. Jack Rawlings is the side’s top-scorer with 15. Bailey Jason-Ryan has 11, while Sam Rawlings had 10.

Rovers complete their league season at Silver Street against last season’s champions Wembdon on Sunday, April 13. They are also in cup quarter-final action, also against Bridgwater-based Wembdon on Sunday.


Sidmouth Warriors 1

Pinhoe Spears 13

Bradley Edwardson hit five as the Pinhoe Spears thrashed Sidmouth Warriors.

There were two goals each for George Coombes and Will Dean and singles for Daniel Cullen, Connor Denshan, Morgan Cullen and Jamie Vaughan-Ryall. Bradley Frost and Bayley Radford had good games.


Stoke Hill 1 Heavitree Utd 2

Goals from Mark Dunne and Sam Beer helped Heavitree to an away win over Stoke Hill.

Dunne outpaced the defence before slotting home the opening goal, while Beer doubled the lead with a strong run and a clinical shot. Stoke Hill pulled one back, but the Heavitree defence held firm for the win.

Heavitree Social Youth emerged victorious from the big derby over rivals Inter Heavitree.

Harry Fawkes scored a first-half double before Inter pulled a goal back. But top scorer Kye Stewart scored another to restore Social’s two-goal cushion.

Heavitree United made it two wins from two with another win over Inter Heavitree.

United’s goals came from Michael Judd and Inter old boy Levi Bailey-Adams.

West Exe 0

Heavitree Social Youth 4

The Heavies made it two wins from two with a fantastic win over West Exe Youth.

Heavitree started superbly and goal machine Kye Stewart scored after only four seconds. Ollie Blackmore then scored a hat-trick to round off a fine day.

West Exe Youth 2

Heavitree Social United 3

Michael Judd scored a hat-trick as Heavitree Social United beat West Exe Youth.

Heavitree went a goal down early on, but Judd responded with three strikes.
