AN explosion of live music, story-telling and general mischief is promised at Exeter's Northcott Theatre next week.

The Canterbury Tales is an immersive production which puts the audience at the heart of the action as patrons of the Tabard Inn – the starting point of the pilgrims' journey to Canterbury.

At turns enchanting, scandalous and disgusting, the tales unfold in a mixture of story and song as a collection of rogues, wenches and travellers tell stories to entertain each other on their pilgrimage.

Featuring live folk music and stories which are not for the faint-hearted, Tacit Theatre offers storytelling theatre like no other.

The production stars former Exeter University student Ros Blessed, daughter of actor Brian, and plays on December 5 and 6.

Details: 01392 493493.
