Devon skydivers do it in their undies.
After a summer satisfying adrenaline junkies, members of the skydiving Skydive UK school at Dunkeswell decided to give something back.
Just jumping from 15,000ft from the UK’s fastest jump plane was no longer a challenge for the experienced skydivers so they did it wearing just underwear
The 35 strong team have already raised over £3,000 pounds which is being split between Breast Cancer Care and Prostate Cancer UK.
One of the club skydivers, Ali List, said; “It was very cold and a lot harder to jump without the normal skydiving jumpsuit! It is encouraging though to do it together with other girls and to do it for such a great cause. All of us know someone who has suffered from breast cancer. We are trying to think of more and more ways to fight back and raise the awareness.”
Louise Banks, Charity Coordinator of Skydive UK says; “Usually it’s tandem students who take up the challenge of jumping for charity. This has been very special, because now our experienced skydivers are setting up their own challenges for charity. 35 experienced skydivers have taken part in lingerie / boxer shorts jumps and raised an amazing £3,000.”
