NEW baking event The Big Cake Show is coming to Exeter next year featuring celebrity chefs Mary Berry, Gregg Wallace, Phil Vickery, Edd Kimber and Stacie Stewart.
The three-day show is coming to Westpoint from March 28 to 30, offering cooking, decorating, supplying and most importantly cake eating.
Among the chefs at the show is Mary Berry, author, columnist, teacher and broadcaster, who can currently be seen judging The Great British Bake Off.
Joining Mary is TV presenter, greengrocer and restaurateur Gregg Wallace, best known for co-hosting MasterChef.
Other famous faces include Phil Vickery who been a part of the This Morning family for more than 11 years.
Event organisers Kim Vernon, of MK Events, said: "MasterChef and The Great British Bake Off have become some of the most talked about television shows every year.
"Millions of viewers tune in to watch the judges critique the calibre of contestants' cupcakes and cookies; the fate of biscuits and brownies has become matters of the utmost importance at morning coffee breaks up and down the country.
"With the excitement behind these programmes and a steady growth in the sales of baking equipment, cookbooks and kitchen-table cake businesses it became clear to us that the region lacked an event to bring the love of cake into one place!"
The event will host more than 120 exhibitors of all shapes and sizes. There will be show kitchens, pre-bookable workshops, demonstrations and meet and greets with baking stars from across the UK, regional chef showcases, interactive opportunities, children's kitchens, competitions, book signings and other special events that are being kept under wrap for now.
