The jungle drums are beating loudly and the news of the Vintage Trading Company is spreading. Since opening, there have been visitors from all over Devon, some from Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall and even some from as far up as Bristol.

The spaces in the main halls are full and a third hall has been opened to accommodate the traders. There is a very wide range of stock on display.

Manager Shelly Barns said: "It is the wide and varied range of stock we have that is attracting people. We cater for all sorts of tastes, from shabby chic furniture to collectible crockery, old tools and auto memorabilia to retro signs and soft furnishings.

"People seem to be delighted with the eclectic range of traders and just as pleased with the prices.

"The vintage trend just seems to be getting stronger, although the public interpretation of 'vintage' seems to include antiques, retro and Art Deco, so we have made sure we have something for all tastes.

"The traders are encouraged to rotate their stock frequently to keep the feel 'fresh', meaning each time folk come in there is something new to tickle the fancy.

"We now have an on-site upholsterer, Leigh-Anne, who is ready to take on your repairs, re-covering, stuffing and upholstering, and she also offers courses for beginners.

"Caroline from La Di Da of Lyme Regis is also here offering beautiful vintage-style bespoke dresses, hats and also has courses in dressmaking. If you are interested in the courses please contact us or pop in for a browse and see for yourself what the Vintage Trading Company has to offer."
