Wannabe pop stars Luke Friend and Shelley Smith have their first taste of the high life as they are seen being put through their paces at the judges’ houses stage of The X Factor.
The contestants who have made it this far – six acts for each of the ITV show’s judges – jetted off to spend time with their mentors to refine their performances, but half their number face the prospect of being sent home.
As ever the judges had help from celebrity music industry pals to help them sort through the future singing stars to work out who would win a place in the live finals.
The groups category headed to New York to sing for Gary Barlow and his sidekick Olly Murs, while the over 25s headed out to meet Sharon Osbourne – accompanied by Robbie Williams – at her home in Los Angeles.
The boys flew out to Saint-Tropez to perform for Louis Walsh – who was joined by former All Saints member Nicole Appleton, Westlife’s Shane Filan and Sinitta - with Nicole Scherzinger’s girls heading to Antigua, where they met soul star Mary J Blige.
Viewers will find out who has got through this weekend.
Luke is from Teignmouth while Shelley went to school in the town.
