A CHILDREN'S indoor play centre with cafe is on the market for the second time in a year.
Monsters Mansion, in the grounds of Elmore Football Club, in Heathcoat Way, Tiverton, has an asking price of £39,950 – £10,000 less than was asked last year – with a rent of £12,000 per annum.
The popular party venue was set up by Angela Mulligan in 2008. She developed the business from scratch with the idea of offering a play facility and an environment which provided a safe haven for children to play while parents have somewhere to catch up with friends over coffee or lunch.
Angela said: "After owning and running Monsters Mansion for over five years, it's time for me to move on.
"I would like to thank all my customers for their business and loyalty over the years, and hope you have all enjoyed coming to Monsters, as much as I've enjoyed running it. I've made some great friends along the way.
"Monsters is a steady and stable business and therefore we plan to sell the business as a going concern, therefore not affecting any of our staff or customers.
"I would finally like to ask people to continue to support their local family-run businesses, as that is what keeps our town alive."
The business is being marketed by commercial property agents Stonesmith.
"The business has developed an excellent reputation for its state of the art facilities, good quality food and the excellent environment for children," the agent said.
"The business has seen excellent growth in visitors numbers and in income from both the general public use and pre-booked parties and functions as well as regular pre-school and school parties using the premises."
The agent said there may be an opportunity to expand the business by extending the opening times to include early evenings.
Current opening hours for the centre are Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and on Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
