Police continue to hunt armed robbers who targeted Exeter jewellers; witnesses urged to come forward

Police are continuing to search for the men responsible for an armed robbery at Ernest Jones' jewellers in Exeter.

The incident occurred at 9am at the store in the city centre.

It is believed three men in black clothing smashed the door, threatened staff with a hammer and stole boxes of Rolex watches.

Thieves ran off in the direction of John Lewis and got into a black Jaguar. Following an extensive search of the area, police located the vehicle in Sainsbury's car park in Alphington.

During the incident one member of staff was injured by glass.
Officers are continuing to urge anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information is asked to contact them on 101 quoting reference 157 of 11/02/13, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
