Police release CCTV related to glass attack at Exeter nightclub which damaged victim's eyesight

Police have released CCTV images of four people they want to speak to in connection with an attack at an Exeter nightclub that has permanently damaged a man's eyesight.

Officers investigating the attack at Club Rococo on Mary Arches Street say a male was struck to the eye and suffered an injury that will affect his sight permanently.

The victim was a 47-year-old local man who it is understood was struck with a glass or bottle while on the dance floor.

DC Matt Burnell of Exeter CID said: "I am keen to identify the persons shown and speak to them in connection with a GBH at Club Rococo in Exeter on 24 November.

"I want to speak to both the males and female in the images. The images show the same four people albeit from different angles."

No arrests have been made so far.

A police spokesman added: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything in the club in Mary Arches Street on that Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday morning.

“The incident happened at around 2.20am and we are asking anyone who saw the attack or who has any information about the offender to get in touch with us.”
