A terraced house in Pinhoe Road is to be used to accommodate Exeter rough sleepers.

The house, between the junctions of Commins Road and Jubilee Road, will be able to take up to five people at a time for short stay “move on” accommodation for use while attempts are made to reconnect them back to an area where they have a local connection.

It is one of a number of similar properties scattered around the city.

The scheme was approved by the city’s planning committee in the face of a 12-signature protest petition and other objections from those living near the property.
