A MAJOR new production in Exeter is throwing new light on one of England's best-known – and most eccentric – explorers and adventurers.
The well-known tale of the brave but foolhardy gentleman explorer Captain Scott is being brought to the stage in The Last March at the Bike Shed Theatre in Exeter.
Under the imaginative direction of theatre company Tinder, expect dog sleds, adventure and a bitter race to the end in this thrilling tale of Scott's last daring bid to conquer the Antarctic.
Being staged in the city from now until January 12, it reveals the incredible story of Robert Falcon Scott and his team as they raced to conquer the South Pole ahead of their rival, Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen.
Tinder have approached the play with their trademark sense for the bold, comic and beautiful.
Tickets cost £10 with varied performance times at either 2pm or 7.30pm.
