The final remains of the tree in Exeter which fell on and killed homeless woman Michelle Conroy was removed on Sunday.

The spuce tree on Western Way was removed by Devon Highway engineers during Sunday morning.

The road between Barnfield Road and Paris Street was closed between 8am and midday.

Since the tragic death of Michelle tributes have poured in for the ‘sweet and caring’ 21-year-old sparking calls by a homeless charity for more night-time provision for the Exeter homeless.
