DETAILS of the more than 20 Exeter roads and streets that will be closed for some time to allow the Great West Run to come through have been revealed.
The half-marathon is on Sunday, October 13, with around 3,000 runners expected to set off from the city centre fundraising for local and national charities.
Using the city's streets for the race will cause changes to usual traffic routes for a limited period on Sunday.
Where closures occur, and where possible, well-signed diversions will be in place to ensure continued access around the city for motorists and public transport.
Roads to be closed, or partially closed, for the event are:
Western Way (Eastbound only)
A377/Exe Bridges (three Northbound Lanes)
St Andrews Road
Cowley Bridge Road
New North Road
Prince of Wales Road
Pennsylvania Road (junction with Prince of Wales Rd and Union Road)
Mount Pleasant Rd
Road closures will be in operation from 6am in most areas and will re-open once runners have passed by, and it is safe to do so. Roads will begin to re-open from 9.45am with all, with the exception of Sidwell Street, being re-opened fully by 2pm.
