A century old Exeter lover’s walk has been all but destroyed by recent storms

Despite its unromantic name, the Goat Path or Goat Walk at Topsham has been a favourite with local lovers since it opened in 1908.

A raised footpath that runs from the end of The Strand to Elm Grove Road, the path has now been all but destroyed by the gales and high water.

The path is a also popular with weekend walkers heading to the Bowling Green Marsh RSPB nature reserve.
