THUNDER and lightning rocked Exeter and the rest of Devon last week, bringing with it heavy showers.
The extreme weather travelled up from Plymouth before hitting Exeter and the surrounding area last week and over the weekend.
In Mid Devon temporary power cuts hit the region and burglar alarms could be heard ringing out around Uffculme after a temporary black-out which also affected nearby Willand.
Residents took to Facebook and Twitter to share pictures of the lightning, while flooding hit some parts of Exeter on Monday as heavy downpours caused drains to overflow.
And the Met Office has said that more storms and heavy rain are not out of the question as the summer progresses.
