More than 50 Devon businesswomen have already signed up for the launch of a new all-female networking group in Exeter.

Leading Women UK will hold their inaugural meeting in the city at Southernhay’s Rendezvous restaurant and wine bar on Monday, February 17.

Speakers for the evening will include Rachel Jones, founder of Leading Women UK, and Exeter champion for the group Celia Delaney.

“I am delighted that the South West’s fastest growing all female network is this month launching in Exeter,” said Rachel. “Championed by one of Devon’s finest female entrepreneurs, Celia Delaney of SpeakingSuccess, and supported by Plymouth Champion Alexis Bowater, of Bowater Communications, Devon really do have the best leading them.

“I have not been surprised that at over ten days prior to the launch, we have already had more than 60 women book to attend the launch – it’s going to be a very exciting year for Devon.

“I founded Leading Women UK after building my own successful businesses and mentoring others, realising what a need there was for a female network that supports, nurtures and provides opportunities for women to succeed.”

Leading Women UK began in Cornwall and was launched in Plymouth by Alexis just before Christmas.

Last year more than 40 workshops, three conferences and 60 networking meetings were held by the organisation in Cornwall. Leading Women is an all-female networking group for all women who work, bringing together resources for entrepreneurs and career women who want to make new contacts, sharpen their ambition and discover the power of networking.
