A construction firm is appealing for sub-contractors to tender for work on a £3.6 million scheme to build a performing arts centre at Plymouth University.
Midas wants to hear from carpenters, masons, small steel work contractors, painters and decorators, plaster board companies, metal stud companies, cleaning companies and floor layers.
It is holding a 'meet the buyers' event at its Plymouth office, on Longbridge Road, on August 30 so that interested sub-contractors can find out more.
Work is already under way on the project, which is being built on a prime site opposite the city library, and is due to be completed in March 2014.
The four storey building will be the home of performance arts at the university, and a space for the wider Plymouth arts community to use.
The centrepiece will be a 220-seat theatre with a sprung floor for dance and performance. There will also be rehearsal space, dressing rooms and a box office.
Offices and tutorial rooms will occupy the top of the building, along with a "brain lab" for the university's International Centre for Computer Music Research.
The average length of contract for sub-contractors is likely to be around eight months. To book a place at the event, email email@example.com.
