Walk of Witness in Exeter City centre

Hundreds of people are expected to gather in the city centre in the morning to watch the annual Walk of Witness (WoW) – a dramatisation of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

A special service will take place in Exeter Cathedral at 10am – enabling people to worship and hear a Christian message – before the Biblical scenes unfold outside.

Easter fun in Pinhoe

There is to be an Easter celebration for residents in Pinhoe today (Friday)

The event, which promises to be a fun day for everyone, will be held at Station Road Playing Fields between noon to 3pm.

There will be an Easter egg hunt, a penalty shoot out, face painting, kids’ activities, refreshments and hot cross buns. Entry is tree.

Youngsters will also have the opportunity to help design the proposed BMX dirt jumps in the park. Names and contact details can be added to the design sheet if they wish to help build the dirt jumps in the summer.

Easter Eggstravaganza & Open Day at Exeter Axhayes Adoption Centre, Little Hill Cottage, Clyst Honiton, EX5 2HS

Enjoy a fun-packed day for all the family including an Easter egg hunt from 11am to 1pm on Friday, fun dog agility show and games, static bird of prey display, craft activities, cake decorating, bouncy castle, face painting, refreshments and more. Free entry with donation of cat food, £1 for Easter egg hunt. The day will run from 11am to 4pm.

Vintage Fair

In The St Nicholas Church Hall, Topsham. 10 - 3 pm, Free Entry ! Lots of lovely vintage and craft stalls offering homewares, collectables, painted furniture, accessories, retro style gifts and lots more. East coffee morning

In the Old Stables at Coldharbour Mill, Uffculme EX15 3EE. 10am-12 noon. Coffee & tea, cakes & biscuits and a chat – with Bring & Buy and Raffle. All Welcome!

Exeter Chiefs v Sale Sharks

Exeter Chiefs are playing Sale Sharks at home on Saturday. Kick off is at 15:00 at Sandy Park Stadium, Exeter

Joey the Lips at Mama Stones in Exeter

Popular covers band Joey the Lips have chosen Mama Stones as a venue to play exclusively in Exeter.


10th Silly Mini Sunday at Powderham, Exeter

Watch a convoy of minis drive through the courtyard in the afternoon from 2.30pm. The theme this year is Under the Sea so expect to see a wave of minis and their drivers dressed accordingly to raise money for Children’s Hospice Southwest. Normal admission applies. Visit www.powderham.co.uk


The Pier, Teignmouth

A fun run of 1.5 miles. Participants will be supplied with rabbit ears and a tail and all finishers will receive a medal. Entry £6 adults, £4 children, families £12. In aid of 4th Teignmouth Scouts. The run starts at 11am.

Support City

Take the family down to St James Park to support Exeter in their vital crunch game against local rivals Torquay. Kick off at 3pm.

Take a walk

The weather is meant to be wonderful for the Easter whole weekend. Take a long walk on Dartmoor or an East Devon beach with the family or friend and enjoy an ice cream!

Watch the match at your local

The Premiership title race is drawing to a close and looks set to be a cracker. Manchester City suffered a set back last night but over the weekend both teams will be looking for wins to keep the pressure on Liverpool. All three clubs are playing in fixtures live on Sky Sports. Try your local to watch the match.

Go outdoors

Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre has a full range of outdoor adventurous activities for young people during Easter including kayaking, sailing, rock-climbing, caving, and archery.
