AFTER its successful summer exhibition, Topsham Art Group has announced its prizewinners.
The Estuary Cup for the work displaying the highest artistic merit went to Susan Thomson. Her depiction of a magnolia was regarded as an outstanding example of watercolour that could hold its own at a national level.
The Douglas Dart Trophy for the best view of Topsham was given to Gillian Fitzpatrick for her depiction of Topsham Quay in acrylic.
Commendations were awarded to Penny Wolujewicz for a linocut print on fabric of Topsham; and Brian Clarkson for a pen and pastel view of Constantine Bay, Cornwall.
The judge was Judie Yung, the Art Fund's representative for Devon and also on the friends' committee for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
