Sami Khedira is set to become a Premier League player after reports claim his agent will arrive in London this week for a deal with Arsenal or Chelsea. The Real Madrid star has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea throughout the summer. The Sunday Mirror have now claimed that Khedira wants to quit Real after holding unsuccessful talks with coach Carlo Ancelotti. The Germany World Cup winner could be available for about £12m with reports claiming that Chelsea are in pole position to land the midfielder – despite Arsenal having been linked with Khedira all summer.
Liverpool's Daniel Agger is desperate to leave the club according to reports, and Barcelona have now been linked to the club. The Denmark international had a frustrating campaign last season as he struggled to play regularly due to the presence of Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure. According to the Daily Star, Atletico and Barca have their eyes on the 29-year-old, with both clubs eager to strengthen ahead of the upcoming La Liga campaign. Despite Barca recently signing Thomas Vermaelen from Arsenal, they are currently favourites the Agger.
Following Saturdays defeat to Swansea, Manchester United are stepping up talks with Sporting Lisbon over a deal to sign Marcos Rojo, according to various reports. The Reds will not increase their bid of £16million for the Argentina defender, with reports in Portugal suggesting Sporting may accept that amount if a United player goes in the opposite direction. Skysports.com report Rojo is now expected to make the move to Old Trafford but if the deal does fall through, United will turn their attention to Stuttgart's Antonio Rudiger.
Monaco forward Radamel Falcao looks set to join Juventus despite interest from Liverpool. The Metro report The Serie A giants have made an enquiry for the Colombian as a replacement for Fernando Llorente. Falcao has also been linked with a loan move to Real Madrid and Liverpool in recent weeks. Reports in Spain recently claimed that Monaco offered the striker to Barcelona in May, but were told that new coach Luis Enrique preferred to recruit Suarez from Liverpool because he fit into the Spaniard’s playing system better.
