Power has been restored to nearly 2,000 homes and businesses in Exeter affected by two separate power cuts this morning.
Engineers from Western Power Distribution have been working to fix the problems affecting customers in the city centre and Countess Wear.
A spokeswoman for the company said: "We apologise for any inconvenience but our engineers have been working to get power restored to customers as soon as possible."
A fault in Haven Road at around 11.40am affected 877 customers in the city centre. Power was restored to all premises within the hour.
In a separate incident, power supplies to 1,096 customers in the Countess Wear area were interrupted at 10.10am after workers damaged a cable in Topsham Road. The final 289 customers had their power supplies restored by 1.30pm, according to Western Power Distribution.
The cause of the city centre power cut is not yet known. "Our top priority is getting customers back on supply before investigating the cause," added the spokeswoman.
