Victim suffers serious injuries in Exeter stabbing

Police are investigating after a man was taken to hospital last night suffering from what are believed to be stab wounds.

Officers were called to Newport Road last night, (Monday, January 6) around 11.50pm after members of the public reported seeing a man with blood on his face.

Police and paramedics attended and found a man that had serious injuries.

The man, in his thirties was taken to the RD&E for treatment. He remains there in a serious but stable condition.

Two men, aged 41 and 45 years were subsequently arrested for causing grievous bodily harm. They remain in police custody.
